Fabrication of C6-Fluorocarbon-dendrimer-based superhydrophobic cotton fabrics for multifunctional aspects

C6-Fluorocarbon-dendrimer has been applied to the cotton knit fabric develop oil–water repellent, separation, acid-resistant, self-cleaning, UV-resistant, and antibacterial properties. The C6-Fluorocarbon (FC)-dendrimer-coated 100% single jersey knitted samples were prepared using “pad-dry-cure” method. 90 g/L 100 FC-dendrimer-treated fabrics showed excellent water repellency separation as well good self-cleaning performance. However, air permeability heat conductivity reduced by 13%, 15%, 40%, 54%, for compared untreated fabrics. presence of FC-dendrimer in treated was confirmed FTIR, SEM, EDX, XRD analyses. SEM analysis employed study morphology deposited particles on surface. TGA DTA evaluated thermal also acid resistance, performance, UV resistance attribute. In addition, Bacterial population growth appears be less sample than sample. Overall, result suggests that can a valuable ingredient manufacture multifunctional products.
